The only thing we should be concerned with now is the things we will be concerned with when we stand in front of the Lord.
Many people are caught up in worrying about things, that when they die all the sudden aren’t that important anymore.
On the other side of the coin, there are going to be people that are going to think to themselves, whoops, if I knew this was going to die so soon I would have done more of this or that for the Lord.
We need to look at it that way now! We are going to have to give an account and are reminded about that many times.
Matthew 12:36 – 36 But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.
Romans 14:12 – 12 So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.
Hebrews 4:13 – 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
1 Peter 4:5 – 5 But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
We have responsibilities in this world. It’s a busy place and everything will never get done. Don’t allow those things to drown out the most important thing. Here is one of my favorites concerning this.
Luke 10:38-42– 38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”
41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
Many things need to be done while living in this world. However, don’t ever let the most important thing suffer when prioritizing.
