One Day Closer Than Yesterday

Romans 13:11 – 11 And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.

This is a fact for each believer.  We are one day closer to our salvation than yesterday.

Did we do the most with that day?  Paul reminds us that another day is gone so let’s remember to love our neighbor and quit doing things that are self centered or contrary to that.  We must quit living for the darkness as our day of salvation is one more day closer than yesterday.

The Rules Are The Rules

God is not a liar, so when the wages of sin are death, God meant it.

Someone was going to pay the penalty for sin.  We’re all sinners and we all qualify for death.

In God’s laws He made an out for man.  It was by no means an out for Himself.  He sent His Son to die in our place.  That’s love and we have a tendency on a regular basis to not be very lovable.

Romans 3:25-26-  25 God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26 he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

To be allowed to be back with God, Someone had to pay the price.

That’s where we stand today.  Either you or He will die for your sins.  If you die for them then you are forever cast into darkness for rejecting God.  He paid the penalty and it’s free for the accepting.  There are no excuses for those who won’t take two seconds to find truth.

God doesn’t have to go back on His ways, because someone greater than ourselves paid our penalty.  He is still Just and Loving at the same time.  We are justified through Him as long as we accept Him as Lord.

The wages of sin is death.  We are so blessed that a loving God was willing to take our place.  The rules of a perfect God cannot be broken.  However, if one doesn’t accept His death in the place of their own and make Him Lord, they will follow through with the original setup.

That can be hard for some people to grasp who live in such an unjust and lenient society without absolutes.

Tower Of Babel

Genesis  11:1-9 –1 Now the whole world had one language and a common speech. 2 As men moved eastward, they found a plain in Shinar and settled there.

3 They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar. 4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth.”

5 But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower that the men were building. 6 The LORD said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”

8 So the LORD scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city. 9 That is why it was called Babel—because there the LORD confused the language of the whole world. From there the LORD scattered them over the face of the whole earth.

The Tower of Babel was man trying to build a tower to reach Heaven without God.  Man that was on the earth had came together and was working towards this.  God confused the language so they all dispersed.

Today man is trying to bring the world back into a one world system.  There are many different reasons why they are trying to achieve this and most of them have to do with preserving the earth so we don’t destroy it and all the people on the planet.  However, there is one thing the Tower of Babel and the New World Order have in common.  They both have no regard for having our God that we read about in our Bible in charge of either of them.  The One World Order crowd may be trying to organize a One World religion, but that’s to try and please the differences, not to give God the lead.

God is not interested in man creating his own system so they may work together on their own.  One thing men in the dark don’t understand is that the devil was behind the Tower of Babel and he is behind the One World Order also.

For Satan to run the earth, he needs it to all be run under one system.  For him to be in authority on demanding worship, he has to be the One World leader.  That’s what Revelation writes about.  God isn’t happy about it and does more than disperse people and confuse their language on this go around.  If they want to serve Satan and reject Him, it’s bad times for them.

Replacement Theologians Must Concede That God’s Word Is Untruth

Replacement theology is when Christians today believe the Jews have blown it with God and there are no more promises to them.  They want to take all the good promises to Israel and transfer them to the Christians, but the bad ones are to still belong to the Jews.  That is why the world including the fallen church is turning against Israel.  

 Ezekiel 37:15-28 –  15 The word of the LORD came to me: 16 “Son of man, take a stick of wood and write on it, ‘Belonging to Judah and the Israelites associated with him.’ Then take another stick of wood, and write on it, ‘Ephraim’s stick, belonging to Joseph and all the house of Israel associated with him.’ 17 Join them together into one stick so that they will become one in your hand.

 18 “When your countrymen ask you, ‘Won’t you tell us what you mean by this?’ 19 say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am going to take the stick of Joseph—which is in Ephraim’s hand—and of the Israelite tribes associated with him, and join it to Judah’s stick, making them a single stick of wood, and they will become one in my hand.’ 20 Hold before their eyes the sticks you have written on 21 and say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will take the Israelites out of the nations where they have gone. I will gather them from all around and bring them back into their own land. 22 I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. There will be one king over all of them and they will never again be two nations or be divided into two kingdoms. 23 They will no longer defile themselves with their idols and vile images or with any of their offenses, for I will save them from all their sinful backsliding, and I will cleanse them. They will be my people, and I will be their God.

 24 “‘My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd. They will follow my laws and be careful to keep my decrees. 25 They will live in the land I gave to my servant Jacob, the land where your fathers lived. They and their children and their children’s children will live there forever, and David my servant will be their prince forever. 26 I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant. I will establish them and increase their numbers, and I will put my sanctuary among them forever. 27 My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be my people. 28 Then the nations will know that I the LORD make Israel holy, when my sanctuary is among them forever.’”

God brought the Jews from out of the world and back into the land that He promised them.  Forever He will be with them as their God.

Replacement theology calls God’s Word a liar.  Replacement theologians call themselves Christians.  Don’t be caught in a group that refers to God as a liar. 

 You can trust God’s Word and its warnings that many people will be turning away from the faith in the last days.

Rejoice In The Lord

Philippians 4:4-4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

Paul says it again.  When something is stated twice in a row, we need to pay close attention.  REJOICE!  There is nothing that matters more than our God!  Whatever your circumstance REJOICE!  I don’t care if it is good or bad, because the fact is you’re a child of God and nothing else combined compares to that.  Reflect and Rejoice!

Do not let the cares of this world keep you from our God.

Can’t Drink Of Both Cups

1 Corinthians 10:21- 21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons.

I think this can happen when we abuse grace.  We are taught to accept the Lord ask for forgiveness and acknowledge Him.  The modern day church chickens out after that and fails to preach the unpopular message of repentance and serving the Lord.

It’s important to attend services where you are challenged to live for the Lord and to strive to live holy.  Thank you Pastor for sticking up for the Truth.  In the last days, the Truth isn’t a popular message.

Continue To Pray For Others

When Paul was standing in front of King Agrippa, he said the following:

Acts 26:29 – 29 Paul replied, “Short time or long—I pray God that not only you but all who are listening to me today may become what I am, except for these chains.”

That just reminded me that we can’t give up on praying for those the Lord has put in our hearts to pray for.  There is so much power in prayer as it comes from the Spirit of the Lord.

We are impatient as humans and very often short sighted.  There is a lifetime for someone to choose and walk with the Lord.  We must continue to keep praying for each other and the lost.  How joyous it is when one turns and comes to the Lord.

The most powerful thing in the world is God’s Word.  That’s what Jesus kept referencing to Satan when being tempted.  It is written.  Amazingly to boot, Jesus is the Word.

If we don’t blind ourselves, it is easy to see Prayer working all around us.  It’s powerful.  More powerful than most of us who are Christians even know.  It’s not a genie in a bottle and is not to be used or looked at that way.  It is God’s power and needs to be done for His will and our lives in Him.  It is His will that none should parish.  The reminder today is to pray for those who are lost that he is putting on your heart and pray for those who are struggling also.

Kirk Cameron

Most recently Kirk Cameron was on Piers Morgan.  He stated that he believed that gay marriage is unnatural.  He also stood by his conviction that abortion is wrong under any circumstance.

As a result he has taken a lot of heat.  What did he say that was wrong?  He’s accused of hate.

The only thing Kirk Cameron did was tell his moral convictions on his beliefs.  This is what labeled Kirk Cameron a person of hate in America today.  Speaking of being an American, Fran Drescher said Kirk needs to rethink what it is to be an American.  Obviously we know that Fran believes that it’s not okay to speak your moral conviction in public, unless of course it’s her own.

Kirk explains that he doesn’t hate, but his mission is to love all people.

There are a couple of verses that stick out to me on this matter.

John 15:18 – 18 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.

Isaiah 5:20-21 – 20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.  21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes
and clever in their own sight.

Proverbs 14:12  – 12 There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.

Proverbs 16:25 –  25 There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.

When God uses a name twice it’s to really get attention.  What about when the wisest man uses the exact same verse twice?

Romans 1:21-27- 21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

The world gnashes its teeth at God.  The worldly don’t want God but to be the god’s of their own lives.  Kirk Cameron is being attacked in his obedience to the Word and he was being very nice about it.  However, Satan doesn’t like nice and he is in a battle with our Lord.

Will your heart come to Jesus and do what’s right and be attacked by the world or will you follow the world and accept its path.

Luke 12:8-9- 8 “I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God. 9 But he who disowns me before men will be disowned before the angels of God.

We need to stick up for what’s right.  God Bless you Kirk and as believers we’ll keep you in our prayers.

Security

Psalm 56:10-11 – 10 In God, whose word I praise,
in the LORD, whose word I praise—
11 in God I trust; I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?

If we are right with the Lord there is nothing in the end that can be done to us.  Man can kill the body, but he doesn’t kill the soul.

Luke 12:4-5 – 4 “I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. 5 But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.

In the end people that are living will have to choose rather to take allegiance to the antichrist and be damned forever if they dawn the mark or stand up for Christ.  Fear not those who only kill the body, but Him that can kill the body and the soul.

Fear God and serve Him as He is Love.  Don’t chase after man and his dark lost ways.

Our security is in the Lord.
