Chapter 13 in Revelation is talking about the Antichrist and the False Prophet. The Antichrist is the Beast out of the Sea and the False Prophet is the Beast out of the Earth. Who are both of these characters? That’s a study in itself, but the Antichrist is the false messiah and world leader which the world and Jews accept instead of Jesus. The False Prophet is the spiritual leader which will demand the others worship the Antichrist, which is now Satan at this time. Once the Antichrist is killed it is Satan that enters in and becomes the world leader.
Okay, back to the world government portion, now that we laid out that groundwork.
Revelation 13:7 – 7He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.
Questions do arise on just what constitutes a world government. Well in Revelation 13:7 it says the Beast of the Sea, or Antichrist, is given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. That pretty much indicates it’s global.
Revelation 13:8 – 8All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world.
So all those left on earth which have not accepted Jesus will take the mark of the beast. If you take the mark, according to God you’re worshipping the beast. There will be no, um…not really, I just wanted to eat and protect my family excuses. You accept the mark and you have chosen the lake of fire.
They I go again. This is supposed to be on the one world government and I’m talking about the mark of the beast. As I said, many end time prophecies that are forming before our eyes will be simultaneously happening.
In Revelation 13:12 we are now reading about the false prophet.
Revelation 13:12 – 12He exercised all the authority of the first beast on his behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed.
Once again it is mentioning that he is making all the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast.
Revelation 13:16 – 16He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead,
More on the mark of the beast, but we’re concentrating on the whole world which has become one. He forces everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to accept his mark.
So Revelation 13 makes a point that the world is tied together.
Everything around us is pointing to a world government coming to an earth near you soon. Does it appear that it is going to be the safe love fest that is trying to be accomplished by those pushing for it right now? Doesn’t read like it, does it? Next week onto Daniel.
