Proverbs 8:17 – ¹⁷ I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.

Why is there 300 Million God’s in Hinduism?  God says if anyone really seeks Him, they find Him. 

That is the problem with the human race.  As a whole we have bought into that whatever I want to believe is good enough.  What I want to believe should be respected.  That lie has been brought on by the devil.  Satan has one goal and that is to take everyone’s eye off of God.

Why?  One he hates God and two he hates you.

In life there are tons of absolutes.  If you don’t breathe, you die.  If you don’t get liquids in your body to keep you hydrated, you die.  If you catch on fire and no one puts you out, you die.  If your heart stops beating, you die.

However, this world wants you to believe that as long as you’re sincere on believing whatever you want to believe, your eternal destiny will be fine. 

If that information is correct, then the bible is wrong.  If that information is correct then many religions are wrong, so how could they possibly be all right?  They can’t, just like blue and orange are not the same color.

How do I get to a destination in a car, by going anywhere I want or choosing any route I want to choose?  That doesn’t work.  You have to follow the path or the guide map.

The bible is the Word of God.  It is in it that we seek God.

Matthew 7:7-8 – ⁷ “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. ⁸ For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

The reason this is my life verse is because the truth of that scripture changed my life.

If someone seeks for truth they will find it.  They will find Jesus and they will find the one true God.

Have you ever had a conversation with someone and your familiar with a particular fact and the other person says, “I don’t believe that.  I have a right to disagree and believe the way I want to believe.” 

They certainly may, but if we’re talking about an actual fact and not just an opinion, they’re incorrect.

We need to take the time and seek the truth.  Even if you have stumbled upon truth without seeking, you still need to know why it’s the truth.  You need to know so you can confidently share it with others and also not doubt if troubled times or persecution hits later on.

God wants a people who love Him.  Even as fallen, sinful creatures we can understand that. So take the time to love God.  It’s addictive and gets in your spirit.

We don’t read a lot about the specifics of Heaven in the Bible.  For a long time I wished there was more.  I believe many people have leached onto the world we live in today because they picture Heaven as being boring.  With the picture many people have painted in the past I can see why.

There is one thing we can count on.

1 Corinthians 2:9 – ⁹ However, as it is written:
   “What no eye has seen,
   what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”—
   the things God has prepared for those who love him—

Paul is letting us know that Heaven is going to be so great that we can’t even fathom it.  I take Paul at his word.  I have no doubt he is right.  As stated in an earlier post, the Lord gave me a special gift just to remember my emotions after being shown something in a dream that He shared with me.  I wasn’t allowed to remember what I saw, just how I felt about what I saw.

Heaven is the destination.  It is a reward for those who love the Lord and have accepted the Lord’s sacrifice to wash them clean. 

I do believe the reason, and this is just my opinion, we aren’t told more about Heaven is because we are to first love God.  We aren’t supposed to love Heaven and forget God.

Imagine that there is a guy throwing a party and lots of people attend.  They can’t stand him, but he sure throws a great party and has a nice place. 

You see we aren’t supposed to fall in love what with God gives us, were supposed to fall in love with God and Jesus themselves.  The reward is for those who love Him.

Look how many pleasure driven people we have on earth.  Not hard to imagine this generation falling in love with the reward not God.

I remember not all that long ago that I hope Heaven was like………this and that.

Now I know that God knows me better than I know myself.  He is going have Heaven exactly the way it’s supposed to be.  He made my likes and dislikes.  He made my emotions.  I don’t have to dwell on the prize, I need to dwell and serve the one who will be thrilled to share it with those who love Him.

Serve Him and honor Him on this earth while you still can.  No putting the cart before the horse.  Focus on loving the King, not the inheritance.

I have listened to people with an “All roads lead to the same place” theory.

These people have replaced good intentions or sincerity in the place of absolutes.  We will be held accountable for truth when we stand in front of Jesus.

Titus 2:1 – ¹ You, however, must teach what is appropriate to sound doctrine.

We might have to hear the voice of the politically correct police on a regular basis right now, but they will be nowhere to be find come accounting time.  They will be too busy answering for a doctrine they spewed that was not of God, but from the spirit of antichrist. 

God’s Word is love letter to all of us. 

I have seen a talk show host that was talking to someone that had died and came back.  The guest claimed that she saw Jesus.  The host quickly told her, well for you it was Jesus, but for someone else it may have been Muhammad, Buddha, etc.  The person looked at her like, I don’t know anything about that, I saw Jesus. 

Now what would make someone have to intervene and make a comment like the one she made?  I know why, she is a very influential person and is trying to push the spirit of antichrist which is bringing everything in this big happy world together.  Never mind truth, we just need to all respectfully come together.

Jews and Muslims have nothing in common.  Atheists and Hindus have nothing in common.  Christians should believe Jesus when He says I am the only way of salvation, which means it should have nothing in common with any of them.

Jesus is truth, but the principle they are trying to shove down our throats right now of all faiths lead to the same God doesn’t even jive with itself.

1 Timothy 4:1 –  ¹Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;  KJV

Truth.  The Truth matters.  What we believe and what we teach matters.

Galatians 4:9 – ⁹ But now that you know God—or rather are known by God—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable forces? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again?

Most of us have been there.  Find the Lord and then the spiritual battle is really on.  The devil and his demons do not want a believer to become strong.  We have no idea how much they don’t want that.  They have their hands full already.  Unfortunately the human race is making it easier on them when it comes to getting unbelievers to be further away from God also.

John 8:35-36 – ³⁵ Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. ³⁶ So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

We need to seek God and become strong in His Spirit.  We’re in a war and the darts in form of sin.  The enemy will try and throw anything at you that he possibly can.  However, we have the power in the Holy Spirit which is the gift from God.

You have a chance to either be a Christian warrior and soldier in God’s army or you can stay dormant.  There are two consequences for staying dormant.  One, others miss out on finding God, and two; you have to explain why you weren’t serving God to the best of your ability while you could. 

Today’s the day.  One step at a time.  Choose to serve your King instead of sitting on the sideline or making it difficult for others to even know who you serve.

Don’t go back to the sin of the world, it will cripple you and there’s nothing there anyway.  Don’t return back to your vomit.

Proverbs 26:11 – ¹¹ As a dog returns to its vomit, so fools repeat their folly.

Do you really think if you choose to serve God, you’ll look at your life and be disappointed?

I’ll vouch that if you learn the bible and try to live your life according to God’s Word; you will be fulfilled and should be excited about the Kingdom you’ll be entering into.

“I yam what I am.”

Too many people believe that they can’t change anything about themselves or are to prideful to change certain behaviors that could use some straightening out.

Changing Behavior!  We have to do so.  Romans Chapter 8 reminds us why it is so important.

Romans 8:5-  – ⁵ Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. ⁶ The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; ⁷ the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. ⁸ Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.

We are sinful creatures of habit.  It says the sinful mind is hostile to God.  However, we can make an effort to form good habits.  Jesus paved the way for us to have victory in life and to be able to control our sinful desires with His Spirit.  

Romans 8:9-11 – ⁹ You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. ¹⁰ But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. ¹¹ And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.

This world is full of the desires of the sinful nature.  Go to most movies anymore and it’s like Hollywood has a checklist.  That list is the 10 commandments and they have to break at least 7 out of 10 before the average movie gets released.  Secular music is full of either pain or behavior contrary to how were supposed to be living in the Spirit.

Romans 8:12 –   ¹² Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation—but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it.

It is our duty as a Christian to live in the Spirit and for Christ.  We have victory in Christ.  Even with this victory it takes an effort and “want to.”

The simple question we have to ask ourselves today is do we want to?  Because if we answering I don’t want to, are we being hostile towards God?  The sinful mind is hostile towards God.

Romans 8:13 – ¹³ For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live,

The natural thing for any human to do in his sinful nature is whatever desires.  To do something contrary to that takes effort.  With the Spirit of Christ we have the ability.  Is God worth the effort?  Is God worth dying to our sinful nature and living for Him?  For the person who chooses no, they will be in the majority, but they won’t enjoy the final result.

Weeping and gnashing of teeth.  Lake of Fire.  These are penalties of those who choose to ignore or be enemies of the One True Living Creator.  What about those who choose to love and obey God?

Romans 8:14-17 – ¹⁴ because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. ¹⁵ For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” ¹⁶ The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. ¹⁷ Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Co-heirs with our loving King Jesus.  The flesh is always at war with the Spirit.  We have to die to the flesh and feed the Spirit.

We don’t take this serious enough in our day and age.  One of the real problems is the church is trying to reach out to people and get them saved, but don’t put too much pressure on them to turn away from sin or they might not return back next week.  Unfortunately this is reality today and many don’t return.  They would rather attend a service that states you do whatever you want to do, you’re saved.

God hates sin.  The world currently has people believing you should always keep your faith or opinions to yourself.  Of course it does.  The darkness hates light and doesn’t want any light interfering with it.  Anymore if you take a stand for the Lord, you’re a right wing fanatical fundamentalist.  Rest assured if you own that title, you must be doing something right.  That something, is believing the Word of God, taking time to actually read it, and sharing it with others.

1 Peter 4:1-6 – ¹ Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin. ² As a result, he does not live the rest of his earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. ³ For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do—living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry. ⁴ They think it strange that you do not plunge with them into the same flood of dissipation, and they heap abuse on you. ⁵ But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. ⁶ For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to men in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit.

As a new creation in Christ we need to be done with the desires of the world.  In verse 5 it says they will have to give an account to Him.  How much more for a child of God who chooses to continue living as a pagan?

Too many people think that if I just acknowledge God exists, He’ll be thrilled about that in the day and age we live in.

Wrong.  The Word of God doesn’t indicate that at all.  The Word of God states the Lord wants His children to turn from their wicked ways and seek Him whole heartedly.

Choose Jesus and leave the world behind.  It has nothing to offer but temporary encounters in what will be your eternal life.  However, those decisions will be evaluated and accountability will be addressed.
