Revelation 4:1 – Pre-Trib Rapture

08 Jun

Last week we talked about how the first three chapters of Revelation speak a lot about the church.  It talks about the sevens churches in chapters 2 &3.  In fact that’s the church is the only thing talked about in those two chapters.

Then Revelation chapter 4 comes into play.  The word church isn’t used again and yet we couldn’t get enough of it in the first three chapters.

Revelation 4:1 – 1After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.”

Wow, what a verse.  It would be easy for one to say that John was getting a vision and now he’s in Heaven.  However, the words he used are familiar.  Let’s break them down.

The voice I had first heard speaking to me.  That was Jesus, or was it God?  Right on both.  That’s part of another series of posts, back to the rapture.

So Jesus is speaking to John.  What’s he saying?  First more importantly how’s he saying it?  He is speaking to me like a trumpet John says.  He uses the words, “Come up here…”

Why is this so familiar?  Wait?

1 Thessolonians 4:16-17 – 16For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

The Lord Himself….check.  The trumpet call of God….check.  People going up to be with him ….check.

Not only is the church not mentioned again after Revelation 4:1, but what a great verse that appears to all the makings of a rapture verse.

Next week, lets get back to those Lampstands.

One World Currency- End Time Prophecy

04 Jun

This week I will go over the scripture that support prophecy that we will have a one world currency.

Revelation 13:16-17 – 16He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, 17so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.

We’re not concentrating on the Mark of the Beast today, that’s another prophecy.  I want to concentrate in this post that there is going to be a one economic system.

Just 20 years ago no one could fathom that technology could produce a system that could literally control all the commerce.  We are witnessing this before our very eyes and are getting towards the nearing of this economic system.

Twenty years ago it was the bar code.  What did the bar code introduce to us that was different?

It was system that the computer could keep track and recognize all inventory.  It also recognized the product so you could price it through your own store and computer system soon after.

Banks soon followed and the convenience of the debit card came along.  Now there is less need for cash and the time to process checks has decreased.

Why do the governments want a cashless society?

Just alone tax invasion is enough for this system concerning them.  Your caring government, if you haven’t been able to tell, cares about taxable income.  However, it isn’t the only thing.  They can keep track of all transactions.  In the war on terror they can keep an eye how people on their watch lists are going about their business.

Here’s one that the government, consumer, businesses and many more all care about and that’s fraud.  Fraud right now in the American system is in all facets of facets of life.  From theft, to multiple benefits, tax fraud, etc.

This move hasn’t happened by chance.  There are numerous groups which their purpose has been to move this earth to a one world government.  What seem liked a bunch of conspiracy talk not all that long ago is now becoming reality.

Time to panic?  No!  As Christians we are to look to God and Jesus.  We are not of this world.  This is what Jesus states in John 17:16.

John 17:16 – 16They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.

Was he talking just about his disciples?  No he is talking about all of us who love Him.

As I write these End Time Prophecies, I have to tell you it is challenging to keep them separate because they are all coming together at the same time.  Study the Word.  Make Jesus and God your first love and God Bless.

Zechariah 12:10 – Who Is Jesus? – Part 2

03 Jun

Zechariah 12:6-9 –  6 “On that day I will make the leaders of Judah like a firepot in a woodpile, like a flaming torch among sheaves. They will consume right and left all the surrounding peoples, but Jerusalem will remain intact in her place.  7 “The LORD will save the dwellings of Judah first, so that the honor of the house of David and of Jerusalem’s inhabitants may not be greater than that of Judah. 8 On that day the LORD will shield those who live in Jerusalem, so that the feeblest among them will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the Angel of the LORD going before them. 9 On that day I will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem.

More versus on the Lord saving Israel in this battle.  These are incrdible prophetic versus but I will hit more on the battle in other posts.  This post is to help us to understand who Jesus is.

Zechariah 12:10 –  10 “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.

So we know from above that we are talking about the Lord God.  We’re still in the Old Testament.  We’re not switching gears here.  We’re still talking about the Lord God.  What does he say?  “They will look upon Me, the One they have pierced….”  The one they have pierced.

God was pierced?  By the house of Judah?

Yes.  The Romans carried out the crucifixion, but it was Israel that rejected Him and had Him sentenced to death.

Jesus is God.  God is Jesus.  We have the Holy Spirit in there too.  That’s why the Trinity is important.  There isn’t three Gods.  They are three persons, which act as one.  The best study for the Trinity is to know as much of the Bible as possible.  That’s what pulls it together and gives one more understanding.

Zechariah 12:11-14 – 11 On that day the weeping in Jerusalem will be great, like the weeping of Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. 12 The land will mourn, each clan by itself, with their wives by themselves: the clan of the house of David and their wives, the clan of the house of Nathan and their wives, 13 the clan of the house of Levi and their wives, the clan of Shimei and their wives, 14 and all the rest of the clans and their wives.

We finish Zechariah 12 with more mourning from the Jews.  You have to understand the Jews are not only mourning because of his crucifixion 2000 years earlier, but because I believe this battle is in the end times and they just got done making a deal with the antichrist also.

In the end, the real Christ comes back and saves Israel, the house of David, the house of Judah.  They will then have their true Messiah and they will know Our God.

Jesus love you.  Please get to know Him as your Savior.  If you don’t, you will eventually know Him as your Judge whom you have rejected.  He is ready for you.  If you don’t know Jesus, please go over to the right upper column and click on “How To Accept Jesus As Savior.”  The sooner you accept Him as Lord the sooner you can start your life the way it was suppose to be from the beginning.

Zechariah 12:10 – Who Is Jesus? – Part 1

02 Jun

I am going to do a few posts entitled “Who Is Jesus?”.

Why?

Because one I think many people in the church haven’t been taught who He is.  Scriptures from the Old Testament said who he was going to be and The New Testament scriptures claim who He is and who He said He was.

And “I”…..it says.  Who is “I” in this passage.  Well for one were talking about an Individual who was pierced by the Jews or the Hous of David.  It’s a prophetic verse as we’ll read below and it’s in the Old Testament.  Whomever they have pierced, the House of David grieves terribly that they have done so.

So lets take a look from the beginning of Chapter 12 in Zechariah.

Zechariah 12:1-14 –  1 This is the word of the LORD concerning Israel. The LORD, who stretches out the heavens, who lays the foundation of the earth, and who forms the spirit of man within him, declares: 2 “I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. 3 On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves. 4 On that day I will strike every horse with panic and its rider with madness,” declares the LORD. “I will keep a watchful eye over the house of Judah, but I will blind all the horses of the nations. 5 Then the leaders of Judah will say in their hearts, ‘The people of Jerusalem are strong, because the LORD Almighty is their God.’

So we know that this first part is the Lord and it’s a word from him as stated in verse 1.  Zechariah 12 is about Israel being surrounded by all the nations around them who want to destroy them.  Kind of like…in today’s world.  In verse three the Lord states Jerusalem will be an immovable rock.  So when Israel gets back in the land again at this period and time, they’re not officially going anywhere again.  I say officially because during the last 3 and half years there’s a lot of chaos, but their still not removed.  Verse four says the Lord will look out for the house of Judah.  Verse 5 now confirms who we think is speaking, because this is the Old Testament.  The Lord Almighty is their God.

Tomorrow we will continue on with this story in Who Is Jesus?- Zechariah 12:10 Part 2

Pre-Trib Revelation Chapters 1-3 – Rapture

01 Jun

The first post I want to write on that I believe supports a Pre-Trib position is the Churches in Revelation Chapters 1-3.

In Revelation Chapter 1 Jesus was telling John to write on a scroll what he sees and send it to the Seven Churches.

Revelation 1:11 – 11which said: “Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea.”

Revelation 1:19-20 – 19“Write, therefore, what you have seen, what is now and what will take place later. 20The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and of the seven golden lampstands is this: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

So in chapter 1 Jesus is talking a lot above the churches and the spirit of the churches.

Chapters 2 & 3 speak on the seven churches.  That’s entirely what those chapters are about.

Chapter 4 comes along and John is up in the throne room and……no more church.

The church is talked about all in the first three chapters and then not again.

Anything else interesting about Chapter 4 since the church isn’t talked about again?

Stay tuned for the next couple of weeks to come.

Daniel 12: 9-10 – End Time Prophecy

28 May

Daniel 12:9-10 – 9 He replied, “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end. 10 Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.

I said I was only going to do one end time prophecy at a time, but verse 10 actually has two prophecies in it.  One is an end time prophecy and the other has been going on for 2000 years and is still happening in the last days.

Many will be purified, made spotless and refined….  Now this portion of scripture can only be referred to Jesus’ work on the cross and the victory He has shared with all those who make Him Lord.

What can wash away my sin? What can make me whole again?  Nothing but the blood of Jesus.  Thank you, Robert Lowry who wrote us such a blessing of a song in 1876.

1 John 1:7,9
7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Only the blood of Jesus makes us pure in God’s eyes and refined.  All of us are sinners and are anything but pure or refined without Him.

So this prophecy is still going on today and as long as people are willing to accept the Lord, it will continue.

Now let’s look at the next half of the scripture.

……but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.

We’re in the last days and look around you.  Signs are happening left and right and there are people pointing it out to the wicked.  They don’t see it.  Most of them don’t want to see it.  They don’t want to look towards the Light, because evil is more comfortable in the dark.  Wisdom comes from the Lord.

I’ll be doing many posts on the scriptures on the evilness of man in the last days so I don’t want to repeat it here.

The last part of the scripture states – but those who are wise will understand.

Friends, we are blessed today to have many wonderful teachers who have dedicated their lives to understanding the second coming of Jesus.  My favorites are Grant Jeffrey, Chuck Missler, Hal Lindsay, and Jack Van Impe.  But there are others such as Jimmy DeYoung who appears on John Ankerberg’s show.  Dr. Ed Hinson on the King is Coming.

You have to be careful and search the scriptures because some others will tend to either have an agenda or appear to get off base.  All of the above have my endorsement and I encourage you to read their material and watch their shows.  Their website links are in the right column of this website.

As always if you do not know the Lord and would like you to ask Him to be Lord of your life, please go to the upper right hand column and click on the “How to Accept Jesus as Savior” page.

Rapture – The Different Time Period Theories

25 May

The rapture is basically broken down into three different time periods.

The Post-Tribulation theory which is the belief that Jesus comes back at the end of the seven year tribulation period.  The theory is also known as Post-Trib.  Those who believe in the Post Tribulation period are known as Post-Tribbers.

The Mid-Tribulation theory is the belief that Jesus comes back in the middle of the seven year tribulation period.  The theory is aslo known as Mid-Trib.  Those who believe in the Mid Tribulation period are known as Mid-Tribbers.

The Pre-Tribulation theory is the blief that Jesus comes back anytime before the Tribulation begins.  The theory is also known as Pre-Trib.  Those who believe in the Pre Tribulation period are known as Pre-Tribbers.

So all the theories use the Seven Year Tribulation period as its guide.  The Seven Year Tribulation is the contract signed between Israel and the Antichrist.

Daniel 9:27 – 27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.

The theory I believe based on scripture that is correct is the Pre-Trib position.  I will spend many posts using one reason at a time on why I feel this best describes this time period.

I will write a post on the Mid-Trib theory that I myself acknowledge is a tough one.  However, I will also explain why I am still Pre-Trib even after quoting those scriptures.

I will do my best to read up on the mid-trib and post trib theories so I can list them in upcoming posts.

Starting next week I will be running through the scriptures that I have been taught by my favorite teachers on why I believe in the Pre-Tribulation Theory.

Israel Will Be One Nation Again, For Good – End Times Prophecy

21 May

After King Solomon, Israel was divided into two nations.  Israel to the north and Judah to the South.

It was 930 BC when they divided and the northern kingdom Israel met its end in 722 BC.  Judah would later fall and Jerusalem would be ransacked and burned in 586 BC.

So the importance of this prophecy is because Israel was more than one nation for many years.

Ezekiel 37:21-22 – 21 and say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will take the Israelites out of the nations where they have gone. I will gather them from all around and bring them back into their own land. 22 I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. There will be one king over all of them and they will never again be two nations or be divided into two kingdoms.

There will be one King.  That King, will be the King of Kings and Lord of Lords .  The Messiah the Jews have rejected for 2000 years.

Zechariah 12:10 –  10 “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on [me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.

Jesus will rule and reign for a thousand years.  The devil will be bound and thrown into the bottomless pit for a thousand years.  All of those who loved the Lord and are part of the first resurrection will rule and reign with Him.

The House of Israel will finally have their King under a unified nation.

What Will Our Resurrection Body Be Like? – Rapture

18 May

Does the Bible give us any indication of what our resurrected body is supposed to be like?

Philippians 3:20-21 – 20But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

It says that the Lord Jesus Christ will transform our lowly current body to be like His glorious body.

When is this supposed to happen?

1 John 3:2-3 – 2Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

When does the Church have Christ appear to them?

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 – 16For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

So even though to be absent from the body is to be present in the Lord, the dead will still meet the Lord in the air.  When is this?  At the Rapture.  That is when the Church that is still living meets the Lord when he appears.

It’s at that time our bodies become like His glorious body.  The perishable will put on imperishable.

1Corinthians 15:52-54 – 52in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”

What was the glorious body of Jesus like?  We know He had the power to appear at will.

John 20:19 – 19On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”

He also appeared for Thomas a week later in a locked room.  So the body will be able to disappear and appear, yet it isn’t a ghostly body.

Luke 24:37-39 –   37They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost. 38He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? 39Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”

Just after this happened, we find out that this body will also be able to eat.

Luke 24:40-42  40When he had said this, he showed them his hands and feet. 41And while they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?” 42They gave him a piece of broiled fish, 43and he took it and ate it in their presence.

This should not surprise us.  How else would we be able to enjoy the marriage supper of the Lamb.

Revelation 19:9 –9Then the angel said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!’ ” And he added, “These are the true words of God.”

This body is dying.  This world is getting worse and becoming more evil as the Day of the Lord draws nearer.  Invest into your future.  You are everyday, one way or another.

Study Revelations

15 May

I want to encourage you to get a great study on the book of Revelation.

All of my favorite teachers have great commentary on the book as well as others studies.

Chuck Missler
Hal Lindsay
Jack Van Impe

Grant Jeffrey has great books that are all laced with the end times and the book of Revelation but I don’t know that he has an actual study or commentary.

The neat thing about the study of Revelation, is it will take you through many other books such as Daniel.

Their sites are over on my Links.
